Jocelyne’s practice focuses on helping her clients navigate the criminal and forensic mental health system. She represents individuals who have been found not criminally responsible on account of mental disorder as both counsel and court-appointed amicus curiae before the Ontario Review Board.
Jocelyne received her law degree from the University of Ottawa in 1998 and began her law career practicing Health Law at a large Canadian law firm. She then moved to California where she learned to surf and practiced Intellectual Property litigation in Silicon Valley from 2001 to 2004.
Since moving home to the Durham Region Jocelyne gained 18 years litigation experience in Criminal and Mental Health Law. She has experience as both a prosecutor and defence counsel. Jocelyne consults nationally and internationally on the topic of Mental Health and Drug Treatment Courts.
Jocelyne is currently a member of the Law Society of Ontario and the California State Bar. She is a member and Past Chair of the City of Kawartha Lakes Human Services and Justice Coordinating Committee, a member of the Durham Region Law Association and the Criminal Lawyers Association.
